About
Hi I'm Kylie
Wife, mom, author, lifelong learner, and the heart behind The Iris Oracle.
My interest in wellness didn’t begin in a classroom or with a perfectly planned career. It began during one of the hardest seasons of my life—when my own health changed and I found myself searching for answers, trying to understand what my body was telling me, and questioning things I had never thought much about before.
What started as a personal search eventually became something much bigger: a genuine curiosity about the body, the foundations that support it, and the small choices we make every day.
The Iris Oracle grew from that journey.
It’s a place where I can share what I’m learning, what I’ve lived, and the things that have earned a place in my own home—with the belief that wellness should fit into real life, not require you to completely rearrange it.

My Wellness Journey
My path into wellness wasn’t something I planned.
There was a time when simply feeling like myself again seemed incredibly far away. My health journey forced me to slow down, pay attention, and begin looking at my body differently. Instead of only asking what was wrong, I became interested in what my body might need more—or less—of.
That shift changed the way I approached wellness.
I began paying closer attention to the everyday foundations: nutrition, hydration, minerals, rest, movement, stress, our environment, and the small habits that quietly add up over time.
There wasn’t one perfect answer or one thing that changed everything. It was a process of learning, observing, trying, adjusting, and gradually rebuilding.
That experience eventually led me deeper into holistic wellness education, including holistic nutrition and holistic iridology. And the more I learned, the more I wanted to create a place where these ideas could be explored without making wellness feel complicated or unattainable.
I’m still learning. I’m still asking questions. And I think that matters.
The Iris Oracle was never meant to tell you exactly how to live. It’s here to encourage you to become more curious about your own body, your environment, and the choices available to you.
Why The Iris Oracle?
The Iris Oracle began with a simple idea:
Wellness makes more sense when we learn to look at the bigger picture.
Over time, that idea has grown into a space for exploring foundational wellness, holistic iridology, everyday habits, thoughtfully chosen products, and the many ways our bodies can communicate with us.
Some days that means learning about hydration, minerals, nutrition, or the lymphatic system. Other days it might mean looking at what we bring into our homes, spending time in the garden, finding realistic ways to move more, or simply recognizing when our bodies are asking us to slow down.
This isn’t about chasing perfection.
It isn’t about replacing everything in your house, following an impossible routine, or believing there is one perfect protocol everyone should follow.
It’s about learning.
Observing.
Asking better questions.
And making changes that feel realistic for your life.
Because wellness doesn’t happen separately from real life. It happens right in the middle of it.
What Guides The Iris Oracle
Start With the Foundations
Before making wellness complicated, I believe there is value in looking at the basics. Food, water, minerals, movement, rest, stress, environment, and the rhythms of everyday life all deserve a place in the conversation.
Stay Curious
Our understanding of wellness continues to evolve. I believe in asking questions, continuing to learn, and being willing to change our minds when better information becomes available.
Look at the Whole Picture
The body doesn’t exist in isolated pieces. Neither does our health. Holistic wellness encourages us to step back and consider how different parts of our lives may connect.
Make It Fit Real Life
Wellness doesn’t have to be perfect to be meaningful. Sometimes the most sustainable changes are the small ones we can actually continue when life is busy, messy, or simply human.
Beyond The Iris Oracle
When I’m not working on The Iris Oracle, I’m living the same kind of imperfect, full life I write about here.
I’m a wife and mom, and much of my life happens somewhere between family schedules, work, kids, laundry, meals, a growing list of projects, and whatever happens to be going on in the garden.
I love learning, creating, watching things grow, and finding meaning in ordinary moments. I’m also the person who will stop what I’m doing for a good sunset.
The garden has become one of my favorite teachers. It rarely does exactly what I expect it to do, and somehow that has made me appreciate it even more. It has reminded me that growth isn’t always tidy, progress isn’t always obvious, and sometimes the thing that grows differently from everything around it becomes the most interesting part of the story.
That lesson eventually found its way into my first book.

The Way Back Was Never The Way
A book about illness, rebuilding, foundational wellness, and discovering that moving forward doesn’t always mean returning to who you were before.
I’m currently preparing my first book, The Way Back Was Never the Way, for publication.
Born from my own health journey, it weaves together personal story, the everyday foundations of wellness, real life, and lessons from the garden. It isn’t a perfect protocol or a prescription for how anyone else should heal. It’s an invitation to pay attention, stay curious, and recognize that sometimes the way forward looks different than we expected.

Where The Iris Oracle Is Going
The Iris Oracle continues to grow alongside me.
Here you’ll find educational articles, foundational wellness resources, products I personally believe are worth sharing, and my continuing journey into holistic iridology.
I’m also developing online wellness education designed to take some of the topics we explore here and turn them into approachable, practical learning experiences you can work through at your own pace.
As my education, experience, and this community grow, so will this space.
But the purpose will remain the same:
To make wellness feel less like something you have to master—and more like something you can learn to understand.
Welcome to The Iris Oracle.
I’m glad you’re here.
